HYBRID EVENT | A Father’s Legacy: Trailblazers in Diplomacy and International Education

To commemorate the Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the Renwen Society at China Institute, the Center on Chinese Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, and the US-China Education Trust are pleased to invite you to an insightful afternoon featuring Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch. The event will be held both virtually and in-person on Saturday, May 182024, 3:00 – 4:30 pm. Ambassador Bloch, the first Asian American to hold ambassadorial rank in U.S. history, brings a wealth of experience in international affairs and government service spanning over six decades. She will delve into the extraordinary life and achievements of her father, F. Y. Chang (1890-1983), and share insights into the legacy of international education to change history, from the Boxer Indemnity Scholarships to today’s US-China educational exchanges.
