To commemorate the Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the Renwen Society at China Institute, the Center on Chinese Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, and the US-China Education Trust are pleased to invite you to an insightful afternoon featuring Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch. The event will be held both virtually and in-person on Saturday, May 18, 2024, 3:00 – 4:30 pm. Ambassador Bloch, the first Asian American to hold ambassadorial rank in U.S. history, brings a wealth of experience in international affairs and government service spanning over six decades. She will delve into the extraordinary life and achievements of her father, F. Y. Chang (1890-1983), and share insights into the legacy of international education to change history, from the Boxer Indemnity Scholarships to today’s US-China educational exchanges.
