At this critical time in the U.S.-China relationship, you are invited to become a Friend of USCET.

Founded in 1998, USCET, or the US-China Education Trust, a program of the F.Y. Chang Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., dedicated to advancing US-China relations through education and exchange for next generation leaders. USCET brings together students, scholars, and policymakers to deepen U.S. knowledge of China, strengthen Chinese understanding of the United States, and center the voices of individuals who make up the bilateral relationship.
Friends of USCET will lend their invaluable experience, perspectives, and financial support to advance USCET’s work and engagements on a wide range of contemporary policy issues to advance a constructive and productive U.S.-China relationship, including:
- Promoting and facilitating bilateral educational and people-to-people exchanges
- Equipping the next generation of American China experts with the necessary skills to understand today’s China
- Strengthening Chinese understanding of the defining features of the American system, including American elections, media, civil society, and policy process; and
- Highlighting the voices and lived experiences of the non-security aspects of the bilateral relationship
Friends of USCET benefits include, but are not limited to:
- Being part of a community of engaged thought leaders on U.S.-China relations, Asian American issues, and international exchanges
- Receiving exclusive invitations for you and your guests to attend high-level events, roundtables, salons, and film screenings featuring leaders and changemakers from various fields primarily hosted in Washington, but also in New York, the West Coast, and beyond; and
- Traveling – at a discounted rate – on annual USCET study tours to China and beyond, promoting engagement with leaders from diverse geographies, organizations, and industries

To be recognized as a Friend of USCET and receive these benefits and more, we request a tax-deductible contribution of $5,000. Young Professional membership at a rate of $2,500 is available to individuals under 40.
Annual membership runs from September 1 to August 31.
USCET is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and all memberships and contributions are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
