The 9th Annual ASN Conference
America: 2012 Election and Beyond
November 30-December 2, 2012, Beijing Foreign Studies University
USCET is pleased to annouce that the Ninth Annual American Studies Network Conference will take place from November 30-December 2, 2012 at Beijing Foreign Studies University.
We invite scholars from all disciplines to participate and are currently accepting paper proposals in English . The conference will focus on topics such as:
1. The Impact of Obama Administration Policies on the 2012 Elections
2. The Evolving Importance of Social and Cultural Issues and Religion in US elections
3. The Media in US politics and the 2012 elections
4. Film, Literature and Politics in American History
5. Growing Polarization in US Politics: Implications for the 2012 Elections and America’s Future
6. From Campaigning to Governing: Political Power, Public Policy and the 2012 Election
The above list is meant only to suggest a possible range of topics. Scholars are encouraged to submit proposals on other topics related to the overarching theme of the conference. Interdisciplinary perspectives are particularly welcome since the topics themselves stretch across several disciplines.
