American Studies Fellows Program
Each American Studies fellow is placed as a Visiting Scholar at an American university for one semester and matched with a faculty mentor with similar research interests. Fellows sit in on classes and pursue research needed to complete publications and/or to develop new courses at his/her home university. They also play actives roles in their university communities and are encouraged to present papers at the annual American Studies Association (ASA) meeting.
USCET’s American Studies Fellows program was established in 2011; the first fellow arrived in Fall 2011. The list of American host universities for the program is still growing. To date, George Washington University, Stanford, Yale, and the universities of Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New Mexico, and Texas have expressed interest in hosting a USCET American Studies Fellow.
