Jia Wang

Jia Wang is a rising junior at The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, majoring in International Affairs with a concentration in International Development and Economics. Her work and research focus on critical issues such as poverty eradication, the socio-economic impacts of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), economic development, and trade dynamics among global stakeholders.

Excited to join the U.S.-China Education Trust, Jia is enthusiastic about advancing U.S.-China relations through education—a cornerstone for fostering mutual understanding. Her dedication to cross-border collaboration is further demonstrated through research on poverty alleviation in Tibet and BRI’s influence in Africa, as well as her leadership in the Academic Department of the Chinese Development Student Think Tank, where she hosts discussions on global economic and political affairs.
