USCET Media Luncheon

On June 24th, the US-China Education Trust welcomed a delegation of professors and researchers to Freedom Place, residence of Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch. USCET held a media luncheon and a lively discussion with the Honorable Douglas H. Paal on cross-strait relations and how Chinese-language media in the U.S. covers cross-strait relations.

USCET completes the Second Data Journalism Competition and Media Education Consortium Conference

On Tuesday, April 26, 2016, The US-China Education Trust (USCET), in partnership with Caixin Media and Fudan University, successfully completed the Second Data Journalism Competition and Media Education Consortium (MEC) Conference. Over sixty teachers, students, and media members attended, including representatives from sixteen universities and five media companies.

USCET celebrates 2016 Asians in America Awards Dinner

On Thursday, March 17, 2016, the US-China Education Trust (USCET) hosted the inaugural Asians in America Awards Dinner at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. This path-breaking event celebrated the achievements of Asians in both America and the global community, and highlighted the increasingly important US-China-India relationship. The US-China Education Trust is delighted to announce the 2016 University Data Journalism Competition, in partnership with Fudan University's School of Journalism and Caixin Data Visualization Lab. Data journalism is one of the fastest growing disciplines in journalism education today, and is reinforced by the country's Internet Plus initiatives. The field represents an expanding set of skills for developing and telling stories through numbers.

We are pleased to announce the inauguration of the China Association for the Study of American Culture and Society (CASACS) at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) in April 2016. CASACS, introduced at the 2014 American Studies Network Conference in Hangzhou, will be launched as a branch of the Institute of American Studies (中华美国学会) and will serve as a premier academic association focused on the study of American culture and society in China.
