Author Cheryl Tan Holds Lecture & Discussion Tour in China as Part of USCET’s Asian American Author Series

In early May, journalist and author Cheryl Lu-Lien Tan wrapped up a week long, three city discussion and lecture tour in China as part of USCET’s ongoing Asian American Author Series. The Series, which launched in November 2012 with award-winning Chinese American author Gish Jen, introduces Asian American authors and literature to Chinese audiences. Tan, who was preceded by the distinguished authors Shawn Wong and Helen Zia, is the fourth to be featured in the Series.







China and America: The New Geopolitical Equation - St. Norbert College Speech

In late March, Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch traveled to St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin to take part in the university’s Great Decisions Lecture Series.

The Ambassador gave a speech titled China and America: The New Geopolitical Equation to a crowd of students and scholars. The lecture centered around the geopolitical changes and current uncertainty surrounding US-China relations.

USCET Holds Appreciation Luncheon in Celebration of 20th Anniversary

In Mid-March the US-China Education Trust (USCET) welcomed more than 50 friends and supporters to an Appreciation Luncheon and panel discussion to highlight USCET’s 20 years of work in promoting US-China relations through education and exchange.

The program included special remarks from the Honorable Elaine L. Chao, Secretary of Transportation and a long-time friend of USCET. During her remarks, Secretary Chao congratulated the organization on reaching the important milestone and its accomplishments over the last two decades of work.
