USCET Double Anniversary Gala Celebration

Celebrating 15 and 25 Year Milestones in Improving US-China Relations

On Tuesday, January 15, 2013, we will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the US-China Education Trust (USCET) and the 25th anniversary of the FY Chang Foundation, its parent organization, at a Gala Dinner with friends, partners, and dignitaries at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, DC.

We are honored to have Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and 24th Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao join us as Special Guests for the evening.

Dinner co-chairs Ambassador Tom Korologos and Governor Bill Richardson will help emcee Dennis Wholey of This is America lead the celebration, which will include brief tributes to USCET's past, toasts to our future, and opportunities to engage in lively conversation with members of the US Congress, Chinese Embassy, and distinguished members of the Washington policy, media, and academic community, who have so generously participated in and supported USCET's programs.

Since opening our doors in 1998, USCET has fostered greater understanding between two countries whose bilateral relationship is the most important of the 21st century. We currently partner with some 73 Chinese universities and institutions to build mutual trust and confidence between China and the US.  The Double Anniversary Dinner will celebrate the Pulitzer-Prize-winning journalists, renowned American and Chinese scholars as well as students who have crossed the Pacific both ways to support USCET's mission to promote US-China relations through education and exchange.

Jan Van Eck of Van Eck Global has generously contributed as Underwriter of this Double Anniversary Dinner. Reception will begin at 6 pm, followed by a festive and congenial dinner at 6:45pm.  The evening will close with Chinese music and a Dessert Reception.

All of us at USCET look forward to seeing you at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on January 15!
