Program Description
The American Studies program at Northeastern University was founded in 2000. In the past eight years, it has undergone steady development, growing to 12 staff members. Located in an originally technological university, the program has been involved in a process of transition similar to the one the university itself has been going through. It has enjoyed the expansion of an institution that is becoming more multidisciplinary. The program now offers an M.A. degree with an American Studies area of concentration. Participation in several co-research and exchange projects is possible with institutions in Hong Kong, Melbourne, and Leiden, and with Princeton University and Western Michigan University.
