Nathan Schlabach is the Communications Associate at the US-China Education Trust.
His interest in China and the broader region stems from his experience living and working in the country for more than two years. Upon graduating from university, he moved to Sichuan Province where he taught English and learned about Chinese culture. After a year he moved to Beijing and got a job working at China Radio International as a presenter and editor in their English news division.
Following his experience abroad, Nathan attended graduate school receiving an MA from the Center for Justice & Peacebuilding at Eastern Mennonite University in Conflict Transformation. His particular focus was on East Asia and US-China relations.
Prior to joining USCET, he was the Communications Assistant at Mennonite Disaster Service and a former intern at the East-West Center in Washington.
He received his BA in Journalism and Media Production from The Ohio State University.
