USCET is excited to share the winning submission of the second and final round of this year's Data Journalism Competition and Awards.
Congratulations to Hao Jingya of the School of Journalism and Communication at Beijing International Studies University. Her research, titled "Shoulder a World of Grey- Struggle for China's Only Child," draws attention to China's aging population and examines the impact of China's demographic change on its social, political, and economic development. The Data Journalism Competition and Awards is supported by the IREX Media Development Initiative. It aims to encourage the growing field of data journalism by rewarding excellence and contributing to best practices in the field. The first round winner was announced in March 2015.
